American asking for public assistance to locate his Guatemalan fiancé
David Edgar, a Vista de Mar resident, is asking the public to help him locate his 22 year old fiancé, Mindi Asucely Jordan Espino, who he last saw when she was traveling towards Rio Dulce, Guatemala. Edgar stated that Espino was going to visit her grandmother, father and brothers in the town, west of the Belizean border. He stated that he put her on the bus from Belize City to Belmopan and the last time he had contact with her was when she texted him to report her arrival in Rio Dulce. She was to get in contact with Edgar the following day and return to Belize on December 18, 2015. More than 10 days have passed and there has been no news on Espino. Espino is five feet tall, weighs about 120 pounds, has light brown skin, brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a colorful blouse and white leggings. She is a night school student at Gwen Lizaraga High School. The 68 year-old business man fears that Espino has come to harm, since he stated breaking contact with him in this fashion, is unlikely. He fears for her because a cousin of Mindy’s was involved in a confrontation and he was stabbed to death outside Blue Angels Night Club in San Ignacio in October.
